The Apprentice Gathering

DATE

September 21-23, 2023

LOCATION

Friends University, Wichita, Kansas

EVENT DESCRIPTION

The Apprentice Gathering is an annual conference for individuals longing to grow in their journey into Christlikeness. This 2.5 day event brings together more than 500 church leaders and laity to join in community to learn and grow as they continue to explore what being a follower of Jesus truly looks like.

The gathering offers a diverse presenter line-up including the "A-Talks" by Ruth Haley Barton, John Mark Comer, Ann Voskamp, A.J. Swoboda, and Trevor Hudson. These five sessions, held in the historic Alumni Auditorium at Friends University, will be followed by a Q&A interview with James Bryan Smith. You will also be able to choose two of over 20 Friday workshops being offered in the morning and afternoon. These 75-minute sessions allow for smaller group, interactive sessions with the presenters. Two optional spiritual direction group sessions are also available during breaks.

Two half-day small group intensive sessions are held on Thursday morning and afternoon as preconference offerings. Because not everyone is available to attend these intensives, they are an add-on to the general registration and enrollment is capped at a specific number to allow for participant interaction.
