Mike Lueken

Mike Lueken has been a pastor at Oak Hills Church in Folsom, California for the past 17 years. He has a Masters of Divinity from Trinity Seminary in Deerfield, Ill. and is currently working on his Doctor of Ministry at Fuller Seminary in Pasadena, CA. Mike co-authored the book Renovation of the Church with his friend and co-pastor, Kent Carlson. Mike has had numerous opportunities to interact with pastors around the country about the opportunities and challenges of leading congregations toward discipleship and spiritual formation. In the summer of 2000, Oak Hills began a major transition away from a seeker targeted ministry toward being a church that took seriously Jesus’ invitation to life in his kingdom. This transition lasted about 8 years and was both marvelous and costly.

EXPERIENCE WITH DALLAS

Mike took a Fuller D-Min course with Dallas that profoundly changed his understanding of the gospel and the church. In subsequent years Mike had the opportunity to be with Dallas in numerous smaller settings for ongoing learning and mentoring. Dallas’ vision of the kingdom of God and his continual encouragement to center the church on this message, was a main catalyst for transformation in Mike’s own life and at Oak Hills Church.
