Kent Carlson is the founding pastor (1984) and co-senior pastor (with Mike Lueken) of Oak Hills Church in Folsom, California. He is a graduate of Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and is the co-author (with Mike Lueken) of _Renovation of the Church_ (InterVarsity Press, 2011). He has been actively involved in mentoring pastors around the country in the area of spiritual formation and mission. He works with churches in reimagining what success and faithfulness to the gospel looks like in a post-Christian culture. He is married to Diane Carlson (32 years) and the proud father of three daughters and the grandfather of two granddaughters. He believes that the Chicago Cubs winning the World Series is imminent and then the end will come.
Kent and a small group of pastors met with Dallas yearly for the better part of a decade. Dallas personally mentored Kent and his co-pastor, Mike Lueken, often over a ten year period as Kent and Mike were re-orienting their church around spiritual formation. Kent took as many opportunities as possible to be in the same room with Dallas and simply breathe the same air.
