Dallas Willard‘s formational theology not only represents a lifetime of thinking deeply about the theological and phenomenological dynamics of human transformation, but it is also intrinsically missional. God is forming a community of persons with agapeic character to co-rule with him over the rest of creation and eventually the cosmos.

Dr. Keas Keasler (PhD, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam) is Associate Professor of Spiritual Theology and the Director of the MA in Christian Spiritual Formation and Leadership at Friends University. He also serves as a Research Affiliate of the Martin Institute at Westmont College. His book, Kingdom Apprenticeship. offers the first comprehensive study of philosopher and spiritual writer Dallas Willard’s theology of spiritual formation. Ordained as a Baptist minister, Keas has a deep love for the global church, having traveled to over forty countries and preached on six continents. He also finds creative expression behind a pair of turntables, spinning vinyl when time allows. He and his wife Sarah and their three children live in Wichita, Kansas.
Dr. Keith J. Matthews just retired from his role as Chair of the Graduate Ministry Department, Director of the Doctor of Ministry Program, and Professor of Practical Theology at Azusa Pacific Seminary. He is a 25 year pastoral practitioner, and an Adjunct Professor at Fuller Theological Seminary.
Keith taught with Dallas for 18 years in Fuller Seminary’s Spirituality and Ministry course and for 3 years in the Renovaré Institute. He served on Dallas’s Supervisory Council (2001-2013), co-founded Dallas Willard Ministries, and is a lead faculty member of the School of Kingdom Living.
